#AidforJoyceMovement

Hi palz! Here's another shop to love for tonight, Bagelia Filipinas :) Yes, a 100% Filipino company! Kudos! They sell trendy, stylish and functional designed bags, satchels, clutches and gadget cases. They started just this year, specifically last February 2012 by Ms Kim Castillo, a merchandiser and entrepreneurship graduate and Ms Hiyasmin Neri, a stylist and an MBA student. Here's a couple of lovely items they sell :) *drooling* :x

With a shared passion for business, bags and fashion, they initially wanted to re-introduce Filipino made bags specifically to the young market. As time pass,  they came to a realization and deep thought to answer a greater call through their business.

“We aim to help young women and children to raise funds and do fashion events for charity through our bags. “

“Aid for Joyce,” their first project, comprised of a private group of people which aims to help Joyce Pimentel. To help her dreams in life come true. Joyce is a 23-year old girl who dreams to graduate college but was put aside due to a rare disease she is experiencing called "Billary Artresia". Joyce was born without a gall bladder and she suffered scars on her liver, which caused her regular bloating, yellowing of skin (jaundice), development of gallstones and various infections.

"Joyce was initially operated through Kasai procedure when she was only three months old, and this has enabled her to live normally, until she reached nineteen years of age. An odd case, Joyce is currently the longest living person in the Philippines with Billiary Artresia. Most patients with the same condition die by the age of three.Required to take at least twenty (20) medicine tablets a day and insert monthly IVs amounting to more than five thousand pesos (5,000 Php) a day, Joyce manages to sustain her medical bills through the support of her family and friends. She was also advised by her medical doctor to have an immediate liver transplant done at the Gleneagles Hopsital in Singapore, where there has been a high success rate for Living Donor Living transplant. This operation is cost to be around 12 Million Pesos (12 M Php). Joyce draws strength and happiness from her friends and family who believe that she can survive and live longer."

Truly Bagelia Filipinas is not only after for their company's growth but also for their market and for those who are in need of help. Every minute counts, let us help Joyce to achieve her dreams and experience what life has to offer more for her. Buy Aidforjoyce Shirts, go to their fund raising events, donate any money, share this post : spread and let the others help too, and off course let us PRAY for her condition. #AidforJoyce Movement

  9. Yas is actually my friend way back in college. We graduated from the same course in UPD. I was invited to their #aidforjoycemovement but sadly couldn't make it. It was truly a great cause & concept, what Yas and her team did for Joyce. Joyce truly deserves to get that operation.. She is an inspiration.

  14. This is a good move to integrate corporate social responsibility in the business aside from reintroducing the bags to the local market.
