Baking and Pastry Finals! =)

Hey! :) just had our finals in Baking and Pastry. At last! no more final examinations and practicums. All that's left is the movie presentation for our English 4, we're almost done though.

Anyways, I was late this morning in our finals in baking, I thought we would start at 7:30 but when I arrived they were just preparing everything :) Had icing and food coloring all over; stains in my uniform, messy counter and dirty hands! One and a half hour to go yet we were not still ready for the icing to decorate on each of our cakes. I didn't have any concept yet but since I didn't had any time left to think and conceptualize my design, I did it right away. I thought of the cakes I saw in the internet, mix them up and then done! =P ps. all the decorations are made from scratch :)

Below are some of my classmates' decorated cakes :)

Anyways, last Monday I went home and bake the cake I used for my finals in baking. I made 1 1/2 recipe so I was able to bake two layers. One for the finals and one extra. I used the other one to practice a little but I failed to decorate it with the one I intended to imitate. The cake was not actually just for practice, I intended to bake 1 1/2 coz I wanna give it to somebody :p

It did not turned out to be what I expected it to be but ta least I tried..

FINALS IS OVER!! :D HELLO SUMMER! :)

  10. Ang ganda ng cake! I am interested in cake decorating and have been trying hard to decorate cakes but I don't have the right tools. Like the flowers in your cakes, I don't know how to do that. I don't have time to enrol in baking classes so I just use what's available and end up using the flower icings that are ready-made.

Ang galing lang ng Elmo na cake. Elmo shirt plus Elmo cake. Hehehe!
