Best Moisturizer for Acne Dryness: Elevase Moisture Booster

You guys know I am having some problems with my skin. It has gotten a lot better now but it's still not as clear as it was before. I know there's no such thing as perfect skin but my goal is to bring back the glory days of my skin which was around 2 years ago. I never had to stress out on not sleeping early, scars and pimples. Anyway, since I can't bring back time and I now have all these problems with my skin, I am always on the hunt for good skin care products. I have been loving Korean products lately and it really helped my skin a lot better. I found yet another interesting and promising product, Kareskin's Elevase Moisture Booster.

Acne treatments can leave your skin dry and flaky, making it more difficult to deal with embarrassing pimples and cysts. Benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and retinoic acid (Retin A) are all common acne ingredients which are often implicated in the dryness that occurs with acne care. It’s often hard to find the right moisturizers for acne-prone skin because many oil-based moisturizing creams can clog your pores and aggravate your acne. Dermatologists continue to recommend ceramide-based moisturizing creams such as Elevase Moisture Booster because they are more compatible with oily skin. Ceramides are naturally occurring lipids that strengthen the moisture barrier function of the skin.

Contrary to what we've believed, using moisturizers are also a must even for acne prone skin; especially to acne prone skin rather. Again, acne treatments can leave your skin dry and flaky. It strips off the natural moisture and oil in our skin. In result, it makes our skin excrete more oil (to regain the skin's moisture) and it leads to even more oiliness, causing pimples to develop.

Elevase Moisture Booster

Elevase Moisture Booster is a must-have product if you are using Retin A and have dry skin. With a super-dose of opti-ceramides, Elevase works well to hydrate your skin and improve its ability to retain moisture. This is recommended to use twice daily on the affected areas and more liberally if you are experiencing severe dryness with Accutane or Roaccutane.

Let me know if you have used this product. Or what you girls use as moisturizers. Would love to hear your recommendations!
