Just had the first amazing race this morning. It was fun but we got some problems, minimal though. We were the facilitator and it was not easy. Anyway, lets not talk about how stressful it went but rather, lets focus on the brighter side; on how it was fun on general.

Moving on, this blog post is not really about how the amazing race went. I just want to share these two movies that I've watched this July. Two inspiring movies based on true stories. I've mentioned before that I like movies or anything that is fictional or anything that is superficial. But mind you, taking a break from the usual things you do is very refreshing. Its like taking a fresh air or eating a new kind of food very different from what you used to eat everyday.

Be inspired by the movie Patch Adams. Patch Adams is a 1998 comedy-drama film starring Robin Williams. Directed by Tom Shadyac, it is based on the life story of Dr. Hunter "Patch" Adams and the book Gesundheit: Good Health is a Laughing Matter by Adams and Maureen Mylander.

The fact-based story of an unconventional physician who attempted to heal patients with laughter, based on his own book and mixing equal doses of scatological humor and pathos. Robin_Williams stars as Hunter Adams, a troubled young man who commits himself to a mental institution in the late 1960s. His experiences there convince Adams to become a doctor, and he enrolls in medical school, where he is appalled at the cold, clinical professionalism that alienates patients from their caregivers. Determined to provide emotional and spiritual relief as well as medicine, Adams clowns around for his patients, getting to know them personally. Although his efforts seem to work wonders and the hospital nursing staff is grateful for the levity Adams provides, his methods alienate his uptight roommate Mitch as well as the staff and faculty of his school. Adams perseveres, however, even starting his own low-cost rural clinic called the Gesundheit Institute, and wooing a pretty fellow student, Carin . Tragedy strikes, and Adams' career is put in jeopardy, forcing him to defend his style and philosophy before a board of jurists determined to bar him from practicing medicine.

Though the film received negative views from the critics and Dr. Patch Adams himself (according to him, the film portrayed him merely as a funny doctor), composer Marc Shaiman was nominated for an Academy Award for Original Music Score. The film was also nominated two Golden Globe awards for Best Pictureand Best Actor (Robin Williams).

Establish your faith by watching The Other Side of Heaven. A 2001 film produced by Academy Award winner Gerald R. Molen and directed by Mitch Davis and stars Christopher Gorham (as John Groberg) and Anne Hathaway (as Jean Sabin).

A young man from Idaho finds himself in a beautiful but dangerous land in the South Pacific as he follows his faith and tries to spread it to others in this adventure-drama, based on a true story. In 1953, John Groberg is a 19-year-old student at Brigham Young University, whose greatest adventure in life had been to leave home to go to school in Utah. That all changes when Groberg accepts a missionary assignment in the Tonga Islands near Fiji; Groberg is instructed to "build a kingdom" and educate the natives about the Mormon faith, even though he knows little of their customs and nothing of their language. Leaving behind his sweetheart, Jean Sabin , Groberg arrives in Tonga and is quickly immersed in the native culture, and strives to teach the Tongans about the teachings of the Latter-Day Saints while trying to respect their cultural traditions and face the joys and struggles of primitive life in the South Pacific alongside them. Groberg makes a valuable ally in Feki (Joe Folau), a Tongan who becomes an avid follower of the Mormon faith, but he also finds his loyalty to Jean (with whom he's been maintaining a long-distance relationship through cards and letters) tested when a native girl makes her attraction to him quite clear. Based on the real John Groberg's memoir In the Eye of the Storm.

When you're kinda lost and you feel so alone, I say watch these kinds of movies. You will learn to appreciate what you have and how lucky you are :)

July 23, 2012 was a memorable night not only for me but for all who attended the acquaintance party, for sure. It was a night of remarkable fun and experience. All thanks to the new elected DHTE Officers who have done their job well, who exerted all their efforts to embrace change and be as remarkable as they can be. Unlike any other acquaintance party that I've been to, this year was way better than those of the past. Before, we were not really told to have neither a good dress code nor a good venue for the party. We had our party only at the lobby where we only sat at the stairs, some were even just standing and some bid farewell right after they have signed up for attendance. But this year was different. We had a tie dye party on the school gym and though the stage decoration was not that attractive, the whole party in general was a blast. There were different presentations, games and all. There was a photo booth too :D and dance party right after the program.

It was indeed fun, that’s all I can say. Let just let the photos do the rest of the talking :)
credits to the owners of the photos..

There were a lot of dance presentations :) The AKALA Dancers, Boys town, 5th yrs, DHTE dancers, DHTE officers and etc amazed us with their dancing prowess LOL.

Starships :) chorus, my favorite part! :D

There were games like bring me something, deal or no deal and etc. Male and female eye catchers were awarded as well as best in attire and best in mask.

Party2 right after the program :)

DHTE TEACHERS :)

The Funk Trunk photbooth :)

My tie dye shirt?

Tie dye shirt, jeans and shoes; as simple as that. Paired with cutey shamballa bracelet, skull bracelet and mustache ring from The Phrenzy Shop.

Home! J  A party to remember! Our last acquaintance party as 4th yrs -.-

I was walking home last Monday, just as I stepped the stairs, the guard called my attention and told me that I got a package (huge smile). I immediately ran upstairs and checked what package arrived and surprisingly... I got a small box full of goodies all the way from Seoul Korea!

I don't have much time to take photos for these wonderful lace dress that I got from Oasap so I grabbed the spare time I had yesterday to be able to blog this. There's just so many things to do yet time isn't enough. You know how hard it is to spend time taking photos despite of your busy day? taking photos with you yourself only (timer -yeah loser) and going out dressed up as if you're going somewhere else? I'm getting tired actually but then every time I got mails, I forget all those cons that I have to do as a blogger.

I didn't actually tried fitting the dress the first time I got it. I just looked at the mirror covering the dress on me as if I'm wearing it and I though it fits me really well. It fits me but a bit bigger than my size. The dress is really lovely, lace <3

Dress from Oasap

Rings all from Phrenzy

Necklace from DFab Shop

I paired the dress with the rings I got from Phrenzy, the necklace from DFab Shop and the large clutch that I won from a giveaway. As simple as that, after all "less is more" as what they say.

Cons. The inner -I forgot what its called- is very thin like it doesn't exist at all. I had to wear shorts coz its see through if you wouldn't double the inner. The buttons on the end part of the sleeves fell the moment I opened the package when I received it and then when I was taking photos, they all fell. Luckily, I noticed all of them so I was able to get them. Quality wise? overall is good. I didn't have any problems with the first two items I got from them. They're just buttons after all, I could sew them myself. Even though I'm not paying the items I got, how about those who really purchase? they deserve the highest quality of items from the shop. The point is... they should check the items and ensure the quality before they send it, just a suggestion :)

Moving on. I know that all of us girls, do not go out without putting any powder or make up on. Personally, I wear pressed powder and sometimes loose powder when I'm in a hurry. Powders helps us to create a flawless look on our face and at the same time, prevent oiliness. But re-applying powders/foundations every now and then might clog our pores and eventually lead to pimples. One thing to avoid this is to re apply powder less and use oil blotting papers. There are a lot of oil blotting papers in the market. Many use branded ones and some settle for the cheap. I use oil blotting paper as often as I could since I don't really have an oily skin. I often use blotting paper during parties and special occasions where I apply heavier make up and I excrete more oil and sweat. It really works! it gives you a fresher look unlike the cakey look that foundation usually gives.

Last week, I got the parcel from ArtieStyle.net that I have been waiting for. ArtieStyle.net is a US based online beauty and cosmetic shop which sells cosmetics, skin care products, hair products, accessories and many more which are imported from Japan. They got brands like BCL, Dolly Wink , Gatsby , Hadalabo, Kao, Kiss Me, Kracie, Koji, Kose, Lucido-L, Palty , Prettia , Shiseido and more on their store. I got an oil blotting paper from them. As far as I can remember, its my first time to use a japan made product. And when we say Japan made, we say its of high quality and premium durability. You can use the code  LOVEANDELEGANCE to avail 10%-20% discount on Artiestyle.net.

The pack is very cute and the papers are hassle free. No need to open and close, just pull out the paper and then that's it. I tried it for days, in school, at home and everywhere. Love how effective it is, it absorbs oil leaving a shiny free and fresh face! *wink*

just ignore the eyebags!
Have a good night!<3
I tried making a tie dye shirt a while ago, it was messy, quite hassle but fun :) I tried dying denim shorts before and it was quite easy than dying shirts. The shirt is for our acquaintance party this coming Monday and I've been really thinking on what to dye and how to tie due shirts since the time I heard about the dress code. Quite excited about it actually :) I'll post about it next time.

Last week, I received a parcel from Clothepedia. Remember the giveaway my friends and I hosted with clothepedia along with other shops? Congratulations to the winners by the way :) Clothepedia sent me a polka corset with a red detachable collar. I love the fabric, quality wise? check. The corset has pads and the cloth is thick yet comfy to wear. Its a bit big to me, just a bit. I also love the complete finish the collar gives but when I wore it, it doesn't really look good on me coz I have a short neck and I look struggling with the collar on. I still wore it though :)

It was raining cats and dogs the day I took these photos so I took them inside the house. Just ignore the tummy plus the face there, I look so crappy :x  I didn't mean to dress up all black but that's all I got that I think could be paired with the polka corset. I was thinking of a mullet skirt but I don't have one so, just settle to what's available. Paired with a cardigan, black skirt plus black stockings and my usual flats. :p

Corset from Clothepedia
Ring from Oasap

By the way, Clothepedia will release their new collection this coming July 21 at exactly 8 PM. Stay tune for more cute and awesome pieces!
“You’ve received quite a lot of mails recently huh J” the guard told me upon handing me a package sent via LBC. I answered “kinda” haha rots, English! Maybe he’s right. Though I don’t count all of them, I am quite aware how these packages seem to come quite regularly these days. This week, got three packages and I didn’t know they would arrive consecutively. The three ones I got are these lovely pieces J A lace dress from Oasap which I have been waiting for almost a month, Phrenzy accessories and tote purses from Chimera Online Shop.

I know you are quite familiar with Oasap since I’ve blog about it for a couple of times already, showing you the lovely pieces I got from them. This time, I got a lace dress. I tried to fit the dress and gladly it fits me comfortably. The dress looks really elegant and I already thought of wearing this to a special occasion I will be attending this August. Thanks for those who joined Oasap’s Fashion Hunter program for adding some cash to my credits. Don’t you want to join Oasap and be given some credit to shop on their site? Who wouldn’t right? You can join here.

Photo grabbed from Oasap page.

The other package I got were accessories all from Phrenzy. Have you heard of them? They’re an online shop based on Singapore. They got an awesome web site where you can find all of their awesome items which ranges from headpieces to shoes and shoe accessories. They got sales and discount codes that you can use upon purchasing items with them.

I got two pretty rings and a cute skull bracelet. I love the bracelet! Usually, skull beads and prints represent something like a hardcore personality right? But because the skulls are very colorful, the hardcore aura turns into a very playful and girly look. Then I got an awesome ring and a mustache ring. I’ve been craving to have a mustache ring ever since I saw them online. Thanks to Phrenzy for sending me one!  Aren’t these accessories cute?  The rings are adjustable so it suits me perfectly.

Another package I got this week are tote purses from Chimera Online Shop. These are super cute purses! I which I could have both or atleast one of these… Yeah, these are for the giveaway that I am going to host soon J aren’t these purses very cute?  You can have these and all other pretty items Chimera Shop has on their Facebook page. They got a lot of items which you can choose from. Be it shirts, dress, pants, accessories and a whole bunch more! Check their Facebook page here.

Have a great day ahead! :)
I think I mentioned already that our school had a week long feast for the school's foundation so we did not held some of our classes for us to participate with the activities and the like. I participated, well.. a bit. Since its already my last semester at school, I should try to learn how participation is defined coz I know I cannot experience any of these things when I undergo OJT. We had sports, cultural activities, literary, etc. I haven't joined any of those. Since high school I am not fond of competing with things like that. I don't have the courage and the guts to fight with people whom I know are way better than me. Coward (i know right! haha) One thing that I only joined was the Advertisement thingy way back in high school. I joined 2 times and then that's all I can boast. haha  What I mean by being participative is not by joining the competitions and activities, just merely watching is already participating. Right? :p

A remembrance to MSU-IIT's 44th Charter Day Celebration.
Oh diba. 4 consecutive sets with four shots each. Di ka malisang ana? :P haha

I also got my passport already :) which means I can go travel and travel from now on... if I already have the money. I also received the parcel from Artiestyle.net. For this month, they got a cute Oil Blotting paper for review and they sent me one. I'll make a proper review on it once I get some time to :)

Also got my parcel from Clothepedia and the one I won from a giveaway by Death by Platforms :) I got a new polka corset w/ collar and a large clutch :) Will make a full review on these items once I get the chance to, too :D

Hey there!! I'm up for another giveaway! :) Open to all Philippines residents only. Sponsored by DFab Shop. Have you read about my review on their products? :) well, if you haven't yet, read here. I love all the items they sent! love them to bits! especially the bag which I already used a couple of times and indeed it is durable. Some other bags that we often buy at random shops easily breaks and tore in the zipper part or in the strap of the bag but Isha backpack of DFab Shop didn't! I've put a heavy load of things inside for a couple of times but nothing in the bag seemed to break. The bag is also made from some kind of rubber, I think so the inside wouldn't wet if rain pours. I got the red one and its absolutely adorable!

Reviewing again? :D Anyway, for the best part. DFab Shop offered to do a collaboration with me which is a giveaway for you my dear readers! :) yes, another giveaway! What you will win? an Isha backpack and two GCs worth PHP 200 each.

For about a couple of semesters, at last we had our cooking laboratory again under our Asian Cuisine subject. Although my classmates and I find our teacher quite a hassle, I still and will enjoy every laboratory we will have :)

We will be touring all around Asia. Tasting every bits of Asian Cuisine inside our laboratory. Our first stop? Singapore :) known for its famous symbol Merlion and for its Sentosa Island. Their cuisine is influenced mainly of their neighboring countries and countries who invaded their country years back. Singaporean cuisine is a combination of Chinese, Thai, Malaysian, Indonesian and Western cuisine.

In our class, we have five groups and we decided to draw on whatever course we will be assign on. We got entree and dessert. The other groups had main dish, soup, salad and beverage. Our entree was Mee Goreng, a famous fried noodles in Singapore and the dessert was Molten Lava Cake, a western cuisine which is one of Singapore's main invaders way back.

Here's some of the dishes :)

 Siomai

forgot the name -.-

 Mee Goreng

Singaporean Hainanese Chicken

We're no pro, we're just some humble students who wants to develop our cooking skill. Chos! :) Critics are welcome, I would be glad to hear them.

We'll have another laboratory tomorrow :) gotta go! Have a good night! :)
It’s a must for every girl to have a durable bag and pretty casual accessories which we can use at any occasion. Small bags are in with students today, especially college ones like me. We do not have lots of books to carry yet we still need a very durable bag to carry all our other kits right? And bags should be of our taste and style, how? By simply adding some pretty blings to prettify the bag. Putting on some accessories even a single necklace will instantly glam yourself up creating a finish touch to your look.

Have you bumped in these lovely online shop on Facebook or Multiply? J Have you heard of DFab Shop (Dona’s Bags and Accessories Shop) or Cutey? I bet you do! If not, then you should!

DFab Shop is a one stop shop where we could find a lot of pretty bags and accessories at reasonable prices. Bags and accessories comes in a variety of designs, colors and styles which will cater every girl’s bag desires. I am so lucky to be sponsored by DFab Shop. They sent me a very cute bag with bag accessories and a cute necklace through LBC. I love everything they sent especially the red bag! I’ve been really thinking of asking my mom to buy me a new bag but I didn’t have the courage to. Thanks to DFab Shop for sending me one of your adorable bags! I even used it right away after I received it and the bag really is durable. I know I haven’t really tested its durability for a long time but one can really see the quality based on how it’s sewed and made with its looks.

Isha Backpak also available in black and purple :)

I haven’t use the other bag accessory and the pretty necklace yet but I will soon. been busy with school stuffs lately and for sure, I’ll be busier in the next days. I’ll try to keep this blog updated as much as I can.

Moving on. A while ago, I saw a cute package on my bed when I got home from Shanice's birthday celebration. It was sent through Royal Mail and I was really not expecting any item to be delivered by this week. I eagerly open the package and I was surprised to see what's inside. Two lovely bracelets from Cutey :)

I know you've heard of Cutey before because they've been really generous in sponsoring a lot of bloggers lately and now, including me :) I got a Pink Shamballa Bracelet and an Oneiroi Charm Bracelet.

Cutey's Pink Shamballa Bracelet with 9 impeccable bead with 84 crystals each. Its screaming Emmerey all over! pink, very detailed and cute yet simple and elegant. Love this to bits!

Oneiroi Charm Bracelet composed of different unique beads ; the start, heart and petals which reflects dreams. Vintage looking beads added with green ones calms the over all look of this cute bracelet :)

Currently wearing this two lovely bracelets :) Thanks to Cutey!

I'm supposed to work on my assignments and stuffs but I could not really just help my self from posting this review coz I think I really need to let you know how amazing these shops are and that you need to really visit them and try their products out!

Visit DFab Shop and Cutey now! Till my next post! <3
