5 Ways to Make Your Birthday Party Amazing10:38:00 PM
If you’re anything like me, you love any excuse to get dressed up and celebrate. What better time to do that than your birthday? But with birthdays happening year round, it can be tough to think of a way to make yours special. You want an event that not only means something to you but also makes memories for your friends and family. I’ve come up with a few ways to add some personality to your special day. Hopefully you’ll feel inspired and excited!
1. Be Original
Ok, everyone is expecting drinks, music, and a birthday cake. But why not spice it up? Pick an unusual venue or even an activity that you haven’t done since you were a kid. A retro-style party at a bowling alley can be such a fun way to connect with friends (and have pizza while you do it). Don’t worry if you’re not a pro! Feeling silly can open up your guests and make you feel at ease too. If not a bowling alley then a sightseeing walk, or even an at-home pamper party with manicures can be fun. If the weather is good, try a picnic. Encourage everyone to bring something of their own, grab some speakers for great music, and celebrate in the sun all day long.
2. Arrive in Style
If you’re going out for your birthday, you may be hitting all the same bars and clubs as usual but you can do it in style. Arrive in a Bergen limo or a friend’s cool new car to make a memorable entrance.
3. Donate to Charity
We can sometimes feel that we have a lot of stuff and clutter. If you’re not feeling like tons of presents this year, asking your friends to donate to charity can be a kind and original choice. Pick your favourite charity, maybe an issue that is close to your heart. Ask your friends to sign a special card of your choice that you can mail to the charity later. It’s not only different but also shows that you have a big heart. The charity will be delighted to see that you celebrated your birthday in their honour!
4. Personalize Your Party
Are you particularly well known for something? Did you love to cheerlead, or have a passion for rock music? Whatever your own quirk may be, personalised the party theme can be a cool way to express yourself and throw a party that’s totally “you”. If you were a cheerleader, why not jocks and cheerleaders? Crazy about music? Then have everyone show up as rockers! A theme can be a great way to break the ice and start conversations.
5. A Group Photo
At the end of a great celebration, it’s natural to want to remember it and thank everyone who made it awesome. Organising a group photograph can be an amazing keepsake and gift for everyone. Send a digital copy to all the people who attended and make memories that will last a lifetime.
